The Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) plays a vital role in promoting and supporting the export of agricultural and processed food products from India, including startups like Mamma Mills. APEDA also ensures that the products meet international standards by providing quality certification. This boosts the credibility of Indian products in global markets, ensuring consumer trust and compliance with foreign regulations.
Anitha, who holds an SSLC qualification, started the company inspired by her personal experiences. “My third child was born preterm, and the pediatrician recommended weaning with indigenous recipes along with fortification,” she explained. This led her to develop a mix of traditional recipes like ragi (finger millet) and green gram, which now form the core of her products.
Mamma Mills sources its organic ingredients from Organic Mandya, ensuring the highest quality for its vegan and organic offerings.
